BM01 - Micro:Bit Bridge

This xChip is designed to interface with the micro:bit single board computer. This provides an interface to support the xChip ecosystem, adding support for many additional sensors, etc.

Product Highlights

  • 2 x xBUS connections to interface with xChips

OC05 - Servo Driver

This xChip is an output control module, based on the PCA9685 from NXP Semiconductors. The PCA9685 is an I2C-controlled Pulse Width Modulation or PWM controller with a built-in clock. This controller used as an interface to accurately drive up to 8 servo motors. The module accepts an input power source locally to drive the motors.

The OC05 xChip is a servo motor controller driver that uses the PCA9685 PWM controller as servo interface supported by a BU33SD5 regulator to drive and accurately control up to 8 servo motors on a single module and act as a system power supply. The module has 8 standard 2.54 mm (0.1”) servo headers, plus 1 standard 2.54 mm (0.1”) battery/BEC input header.

Product Highlights

  • Servo motor controller/driver
  • Connect up to 8 servos
  • Standard 2.54 mm Servo Motor Header
  • Support for 8 different I2C Addresses (Possible to connect up to 64 Servos)

OD01 - OLED Display 128x64

This xCHIP forms part of the output modules and is equipped with an OLED display unit that is capable of displaying any graphics or text. Very useful as a sensor data display.

Product Highlights

  • Monochrome OLED Display
  • 128 x 64 dot matrix
  • Built-in controller
  • Based on SSD1306

PB04 - Dual AA Intelligent Battery Power Supply

This xCHIP module houses 2 AA batteries to supply power to other connected xCHIPS. The PB04 makes use of the INA199A2 current sensor and MAX11647 Analog to Digital Converter. These two low-cost precision sensors allows for accurately measuring power usage, battery voltage and current draw.

The PB04 features an AAT1217 which is a high efficiency, synchronous, fixed frequency, step-up converter designed for battery-powered applications. The high 1.2 MHz switching frequency and completely integrated control circuitry maintains excellent regulation, ripple, and transient response throughout the full load range.

Light load mode operation and low quiescent current allow the AAT1217 to maintain high efficiency performance for light load conditions. With a 1.2A peak inductor current limit, the AAT1217 is capable of delivering 400mA from dual AA cells batteries.

Product Highlights

  • Provides Battery Voltage (V) Measurement
  • Provides Instantaneous Battery Current (I)(mA) Consumption
  • 400 mA Output Current
  • Over-Current Protection
  • High Efficiency: Up to 93% Efficiency
  • 1.2 MHz Fixed Switching Frequency
  • 1.2 A Current Limit
  • Light Load Mode Operation

SL01 - UVA, UVB, Light Sensor

This xCHIP forms part of the sensor modules and is equipped with a light sensor that is capable of measuring the luminosity (Wide Dynamic Range — 3 lux to 220k lux) (visual brightness), UVA and UVB radiation. The light sensor converts solar UV light intensity to digital data and has displayed reliable performance of UV radiation measurement inner long time solar UV exposure.

Product Highlights

  • UVA, UVB and visible light sensor
  • Simple Direct LuxOutput
  • 16-bit Digital Output with I2C Compatibility

SW01 - Advanced Weather Sensor

This weather sensor xCHIP is equipped with a weather sensor that is capable of measuring the temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure.

The humidity sensor provides an extremely fast responce time for fast context awareness application and high overall accuracy over a wide temperature range.

The pressure sensor is an absolute barometric pressure sensor with extremely high accuracy and resolution.

The integrated temperature sensor has been optimized for lowest noise and highest resolution. Its output is used for temperature compensation of the pressure and humidity sensors and can also be used for estimation of the ambient temperature.

Product Highlights

XC10 - 10-Pack xBUS Connectors

The xBUS is the main connection between the xCHIPs. Most xCHIPs will have a connection on all 4 sides, but some will have a connection sacrifices either for space or for other connectors, such as USB or antenna connectors.
